About Me

Hello! I'm Max Michelon, a Data Science graduate from the University of Oregon, class of 2024. My expertise lies in Python, SQL, Tableau, and Excel, with a good understanding of C and C++. My journey in data science has equipped me with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, which I have applied in various projects focusing on machine learning, data visualization, and data cleaning.

I am a very curious person which has led me to love continuously learning about data science as well as an eagerness to solve real-world problems through data-driven insights. When I'm not working on data projects, I enjoy basketball, working out, reading, and being outdoors.

Data Visualizations with Tableau

Created comprehensive Tableau dashboards to visualize and analyze complex datasets. Leveraged interactive elements, dual-axis charts, heatmaps, and maps to clearly show actionable insights in healthcare and business contexts. Demonstrated proficiency in data storytelling, dynamic filtering, and the use of advanced Tableau features to enhance data comprehension and decision-making.

Adidas Sales Analysis and Visualization

Cleaned the Adidas sales dataset from Kaggle using Python and designed an SQL schema to store the data. Utilized SQLAlchemy to populate PostgreSQL tables and performed comprehensive data analysis. Created multiple visualizations to illustrate sales trends, regional performance, and more.

Wellbeing Dataset Analysis and ML Modeling

Utilized Python to analyze and model the wellbeing Kaggle dataset comprising over 16,000 samples. Conducted data cleaning, built and trained multiple ML models, and evaluated their performance. Project conducted as part of the DSCI 372M course.
